This is my contribution for Dominique Eichi's moleskine and for our blog, The Flying Moleskins. The theme for Dominique's book is landscapes/pathways. Dominique is from California and I'm not sure if she has ever been to SW Louisiana, but now she has a painting of one of my favorite locations called Lake Martin. Please go to the flying moleskins blog here and you can read all about this colorful swamp. Thanks for visiting my blog; I appreciate your comments and e-mails very much. Take care.

Very lovely painting. I would like to walk in your country...
Great Angela and very different from what I've seen of your work...I can feel the humidity when I see your painting!!!
I am so familiar with swamp...this is a beautiful painting filled with great rich color!
A swampy, luscious and colorful painting with the exact mood and feel of the area. These books that ya'll are creating are developing into real treasures, can't wait to see yours when finished!
The painting is gorgeous.
We can feel the feeling of walking in those shadows and smell the swamp.
It feels like we are there,
love
tweedles
I like this one A LOT, Angela. You've achieved a snese of movement into and down the path with your burshwork alone. Very nicely done!
I can almost smell the moss and the earth, hear the leaves rustling from the soft wind. My mind wonders down that path at all the discoveries I'm going to have.
The mood you create in this painting is so full of life. I love it. Thank you
This Moleskin Journey has been amazing to watch! Beautiful Angela.
This is beautiful, Angela. I love that dark mystery back in the trees! These moleskins are each turning into such a valuable treasure! How amazing for all those who were asked to participate!!
You've done it again! Hauntingly beautiful, in color and composition!
AAAAAAh..........This is flabbergasting........ I was looking for your blog on my dashboard and could not find it until I realized I was not one of your followers...... I RECTIFIED THAT REAL QUICK.. sorry ! ( I don't know what happened )
Beautiful work. Love the cool shady light, and rich color. lovely!
Paradise! This is what it must look like!
Wow, amazing work Angela. You are so versatile!
warm hugs...
angela,
beautiful landscape...
liked the effect of thick greenery...
it is soothing to look at...
Thank you all, I appreciate your comments very much. Although Lake Martin is very lovely, it does come with high humidity, heat, and lots of mosquitos, OUCH.
I really need to try and re-photograph this painting, I'm afraid this really doesn't show the colors as it is in the original painting.
Angela, I have really been negligent in making comments on my favorite artist's blogs lately. You have done so many wonderful paintings since my last visit and this one has got to be a favorite.
Here in the north everything is still brown and dull so it is so refreshing to see a beautiful colorful country road. I'm planning a trip down to Louisiana soon so I hope to find Lake Martin.
You did a perfect job of conveying the distance and depth of this path - makes me want to grab my sneakers and camera and GO. I could bring my pug Paco, to keep Tweedles company!
you know i love a landscape....love your style...i see you have done several painting since i last viewed your blog...they are all very inspiring
