LONGHORN LADY
8x8 oil on board nfs
It's my turn to paint in Sheila Tajima's book for The Flying Moleskins and Sheila has requested we paint something that we love, for me that would be cows! I have always loved cows, but it was not until we moved to Texas that I fully appreciated longhorns. Of all the different cattle breeds, the longhorn breed is one of my favorites; they are massive in size and so elegant with their huge set of horns, to see them up close and in person is amazing. Thank you for visiting and please visit here to read more about this particular longhorn lady.

Now I see what your email meant about cows and barns! Sheila will love this guy, I'm sure. Well done!
Oh,Angela...wonderful job of capturing our State's Prehistoric Bovine! Aren't they magnificent? I really like your contemporary perspective and signature loose style.
Absolutely lovely point-of-view and composition, Angela. Not long ago, I saw a longhorn at some farm or other out this way. I was quite surprised, really! After all, this isn't Texas! Their horns are so wide!
Love this! I have pics of beautiful longhorns from my walks in the early morning light. Wish I was brave....
This inspires me!
Sheila's lucky! This is wonderful, Angela - love the composition and colors.
Lovely job Angela, great horns, I like how youve handled the shadows)
I love the perspective you took on this painting. The colors are nice, too. Sheila is going to love this!
Really like the color combo in this.
