OUR ZOE

8x10 oil on canvas nfs

15 years ago when our daughter was 5 years old and in Kindergarten, our little Zoe came to live with us. Today, Zoe died peacefully in her sleep. Our hearts are broken and empty, but full of the most wonderful memories and unconditional love that only she could provide. One of the many things I will miss about Zoe is her company while I paint, but tonight, I missed her 7 p.m. bark demanding her evening treat.

Rest in peace, Zoe.

What a beautiful puppy. My heart goes out to you. We love our pets so much, and their loss is so significant. When I lost my cat to an unexpected and swift illness, I swore I could hear the soft padding of her feet on our wooden floors for months and months after her passing.

Magnifique toile où tout votre amour pour Zoé explose. Votre peine je l'ai vécue pour Julia, Laétitia et Laura... Olwen et Pyrrhus, mes dalmatiens, m'apportent aujourd'hui beaucoup de joie.
J'aime beaucoup votre art...
Amitiés.

I feel sadness.
sadness in my heart
for you
as I read your words
,,,, Zoe is gone.
Rain is falling
from your eyes,,,,
and from mine,
as I think about the pain
in your heart-
I am listening to
your words
I can feel how much
you loved Zoe.
Tonight,
i light a candle for Zoe
at the
Rainbow Bridge
and for you
love

A beautiful portrait of an obviously wonderful companion. 15 years is a long time and then again, so short. My heart goes out to you Angela.

Oh Angela...I am so sorry for your loss. Your painting of Zoe is phenomenal with a pose I've seen many times in my own dogs. Unfortunately, this is a day all pet owners eventually have to face and I dread it. My heart goes out to you and your family on the loss of your best and most loving friend.

....oh Angela! I'm so sorry. When our children began to leave home and I was struggling with the adjustment, Coach and I adopted two mini. schnauzers, Mitzi & Abby They have been the sweetest little companions. So I sit here crying as I imagine your sorrow and loss. A Big Hug to you!

Beautiful art!

Angela, I'm so sorry to hear about your Zoe passing. I'm only glad to hear that she passed calmly, which is what I hope for when it comes time for my own pets to go. Your painting is beautiful and your love for her shows through.
